<image:title>Home - My Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>Starting therapy can be intimidating, and I want to acknowledge the huge step you have taken in prioritizing your wellbeing and mental health. I bring compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard to my practice, along with a strong clinical background as I work with you to build resilience, empower you, and set you up for success in leading the life you want. I utilize evidence-based approaches to guide my practice, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused strategies, and I also incorporate mindfulness-based stress-reduction techniques. These theories assist me in working with you to create individualized goals, tools, and a treatment plan. I believe you know yourself best and although you might feel a little lost at the moment, together we will identify your strengths, and use those while working through underlying issues to set you up for success in therapy. When working with families and couples I draw from structural and strategic family therapy perspectives. I assist you in identifying damaging and negative patterns within your family/couple, as well as restoring communication, healthy boundaries, and ultimately creating a new fulfilling and positive dynamic. I provide pre-marital counseling and assist you in talking through some challenging topics with your future spouse so you can enter marriage with a strong emotional foundation. I have extensive training, and I’m board certified with the Center for Credentialing & Education, in providing counseling and psychotherapy via easily accessible and confidential video or phone sessions. This allows you you to receive quality mental health care and counseling from the comfort of your home or other chosen location.</image:caption>
